The MUOS Planner/Manager (MPM) course is specifically designed to address all MUOS IT Network Centric relevant topics for planner and manager roles. It includes the MUOS Data Collection Phase to identify frequency profiles to enable Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA) radios to transmit simultaneous voice, video, and data on the MUOS Internet Protocol (IP)-based system connected to military IT NIPR/SIPR Networks. The course reviews the procedures for setting up account access and requesting terminal profiles using the Joint Satellite Communications Management and Planning System (JSMPS), the hub of a network-centric suite of databases and applications supporting DoD SATCOM mission management. Students develop terminal profiles and Group IP addresses and are instructed on how to request MUOS Legacy Gateway Component (MLGC) access (future capability set) to provide Legacy-to-IP-based IT interoperability. Training reviews the process for securely ordering, generating, producing, distributing, managing, and auditing cryptographic products. The course focuses on MUOS profiles and groups and generating all other material necessary to position provisioners and operators for operational success.
