Scott Ayers

Mr. Scott Ayers

Mr. Ayers is responsible for strategy, planning and execution to enhance STF’s performance and customer satisfaction. Scott served as STF’s Chief Operating Officer prior to assuming his current role as President. Mr. Ayers’ leadership is focused on improved performance through innovation, advanced planning and flexibility with a focus on customer success. Scott has over 20 years of experience in the public and private sector. Prior to joining STF, Scott served as the Contracts Director for the National Security Sector of SRA International as well as a Vice President for Administration at SAIC. Mr. Ayers has a Bachelor of Arts in finance from James Madison University and received his Master of Business Administration in economics and public policy from George Washington University.

Chuck Pitts

Mr. Charles Pitts
Executive Vice President

Mr. Pitts is responsible for all phases of our proposal development process across the entire company. Chuck has over 27 years of experience in satellite communications, software development, life cycle cost modeling, and overall program execution. Mr. Pitts has a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Virginia Tech and a Master of Science in electrical engineering from George Mason University. He has been managing enterprise wide programs and tasks over the past 15 years in support of the SPAWAR System Center Atlantic and Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). These programs have involved all aspects of program execution. As the Chief Engineer on the acquisition category (ACAT) 1A Major Automated Information System (MAIS) DoD Teleport program, Mr. Pitts directed the engineering team on all phases of the DoD Teleport Program including cost modeling, architecture design, system integration, software development, information assurance, systems engineering, testing, and documentation. Mr. Pitts is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Michael Ziegler

Mr. Michael Ziegler

Mr. Ziegler has over 25 years of experience as a senior military networks, communications, and information systems technologist, systems engineer and program manager supporting Navy and Department of Defense organizations. He provides subject matter expertise on military networks and communications architectures, C4I warfare effects modeling, and end-to-end C4I systems engineering. Mike has a Bachelor of Science in nuclear engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master of Science in electrical engineering with distinction from the Naval Post Graduate School. Prior to joining STF, Mr. Ziegler was the Navy Networks Division Manager at SAIC. Mike has been critical to the success and growth of STF since joining the company in our initial year to include his role as Capture Manager for our current PMW/A170 systems engineering contract valued at over $43M.

Gary Kessler

Mr. Gary Kessler
Executive Vice President

Mr. Kessler leads business development activities across all of STF’s operation centers. Gary has over 28 years of experience in Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) gained through military service, civil service and industry. Mr. Kessler has significant experience with numerous air traffic control, command and control, communications, and support systems covering all facets of program management. He has a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the Virginia Military Institute and a Master of Science in engineering management from Old Dominion University. Since joining STF in 2006, Mr. Kessler managed execution and achieved significant growth for STF support to the Navy Tactical Command Support System (NTCSS), Global Command and Control System (GCCS), Afloat Readiness Reporting System (ARRS), High Frequency Internet Protocol (HFIP) and Alteration Installation Team (AIT) activities.
