Scott Ayers

Mr. Scott Ayers

Responsible for strategy, planning, and execution to enhance STF's performance and customer satisfaction. Scott served as STF's Chief Operating Officer before assuming his current role as President. Scott's leadership focuses on improved performance through innovation, advanced planning, and flexibility with a focus on customer success. Scott has a wealth of experience in the public and private sectors. Before joining STF, Scott served as the Contracts Director for the National Security Sector of SRA International as well as a Vice President for Administration at SAIC. Scott has a Bachelor of Arts in finance from James Madison University and received his Master of Business Administration in economics and public policy from George Washington University. Scott joined STF in 2011.

Chuck Pitts

Mr. Charles Pitts
Executive Vice President

Manages and leads all phases of business and proposal development processes across the entire company. Chuck has experience in satellite communications, software development, life cycle cost modeling, and overall program execution. Chuck managed enterprise-wide programs and tasks in support of Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic and DISA; and directed the engineering team on all phases of the DoD Teleport Program, including cost modeling, architecture design, system integration, software development, IA, systems engineering, testing, and documentation. Chuck is PMP certified and has a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Virginia Tech and a Master of Science in electrical engineering from George Mason University. Chuck joined STF in 2005.

Michael Ziegler

Mr. Michael Ziegler
Executive Vice President

Leads and manages STF's Business Operations Management Team delivering direct support to Government customers and Defense Industry teammates. Mike is a retired Engineering Duty Officer Naval Officer with extensive Navy experience and Defense Industry experience supporting DoD customers. Mike is renowned for his extensive end-to-end Naval and Joint communications and network engineering expertise. Mike led the STF San Diego team's growth from the company's start in 2003, as the first Program Manager for PMW/A 170 Systems Engineering, PMW 790, and PMW 160 Program management services prime contracts wins. Mike has a Bachelor of Science in nuclear engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master of Science in electrical engineering with distinction from the Naval Post Graduate School. Mike joined STF in 2003.

Gary Kessler

Mr. Gary Kessler
Executive Vice President

Manages and leads marketing and business development activities across all of STF's Operation Centers. Gary has significant experience with numerous air traffic control, command and control, communications, and support systems covering all facets of program management. Gary managed the execution and achieved significant growth for STF by providing support to the NTCSS, GCCS, ARRS, HFIP, and AIT activities. Gary has a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the Virginia Military Institute and a Master of Science in engineering management from Old Dominion University. Gary joined STF in 2006.
